Sun helped me dry what got soaked last night (and that was, basically, everything!!). Also, I took the chance to go and visit Alausí, a nice town I couldn’t visit previous night. The train has definitively made a favor to this place…
Leaving Alausí means uphill. I wonder why they haven’t made that road flat, when it’s quite obvious they can do it easily!!!
Once you leave the valley, you reach next one, called La nariz del Diablo (Devil’s nose). VERY nice. Nice road as well. Feels like cycling here longer (the almost non-existent traffic helps), even though they could’ve saved some of those uphills!! They felt hard!
34 km you reach Chunchi… and cloudy weather caught up with me again. It started to rain lightly, and since I wasn’t going to be able to see anything, I decided to stop there for the night. It doesn’t make sense to keep on cycling if you can’t enjoy the views!!
